DIY Course : Electrics

If yes, WAMTs Saturday DIY workshops are for you!

WAMT DIY IN THE HOME workshops are designed to give you the confidence to understand your home systems and carry out basic repairs. They also give you the knowledge to know what may be wrong with your system and when to call a professional.

Participants who take part in our workshops will gain hands-on experience on all demonstrations with valuable worksheets to take home for reference.

Our second course in the series, on Saturday 9th October 2010, is on Electrics.

This workshop will cover the basics of how the home electrical system is wired up and the principles of electricity.

It will teach basics such as wiring a plug, and changing a fuse, but will also teach some fundamentals about safety – which is paramount when dealing with electricity! Information about the legislation covering the work that unqualified persons can undertake in the home will also be discussed.

All DIY workshops run from10am “ 4pm, at WAMTs premises near Old Street Station, London EC1Y. They are taught by professional tradeswomen.All materials and tools are supplied on the day. Light lunch will also be provided.

Courses run subject to demand.

The cost for each workshop is £50, payable on the day of the workshop.
